When it was still hard to purchase genuine European instruments at a low price, Takashi Shimokura, the founder of our company, negotiated with an atelier in Bubenreuth of Germany and signed a lifelong contract for the original brand “K. Shimora”. This was due to his spirit that wished for many to be able to use genuine, high-quality instruments. Ever since, Shimora has been loved by many customers for over thirty-five years.

K. Shimora is made with a traditional German technique, which both face and back board is carved out from a thick wood board. Also, it is rich in expression, by only using selected material and varnish according to each grade. We are confident that the tone of K. Shimora can be enjoyed by a wide range of musicians, from beginners to professionals.
